What is conduct disorder (CD)?

Teenagers and young adults with CD often do not know how to show respect to others. This is expressed in bullying, threatening, intimidating and deceiving. Young people with ODD show rebellious behaviour, but those with CD show behaviour that crosses the line of what is socially accepted, combined with violence and violent behaviour towards others. Young people with CD have difficulty regulating feelings, changes and emotions.

Symptoms of CD

Young people with CD bully, threaten and intimidate others with great regularity. In some cases, young people with CD abuse animals or even force others to perform sexual acts. Stealing and vandalism are also characteristics of teenagers and young adults struggling with CD.

How we treat CD

At Yes We Can Youth Clinics, we help young people deal with CD pleasantly and function positively in society. We do not look at the 'stamps' that young people were given in the past or the things that young people 'cannot do' or 'do wrong', but rather at their talents and qualities. Yes We Can Youth Clinics strives to reduce any medication that the teenager or young adult receives to zero or as little as possible during the treatment.
